Horrific Night on Crabapple Court Leads to Four Dead – June 30th, 2024
Victims of Crabapple Ct Triple Murder Identified – July 1st, 2024
Suspect Identified
Officials with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office have identified the suspect who murdered three people in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 29th, 2024, before turning the gun on himself as Brandon Dennis Suckow, 32, of Newnan.
Connection to the Location
According to our research, Suckow is the son ( from a previous marriage ) of the female victim who ran from the house during the incident and spawned the 911 calls that originally brought law enforcement to the area. According to open records, the residence on Crabapple Ct is owned by that female and her current husband.
It’s believed that Suckow was related to the male that fled out of the back of the house during the incident and ended up passing out in the woods behind the house, and the juvenile that was originally detained at the start of the law enforcement response.
According to booking records, court records, and other sources, it’s not believed that Suckow lived at the location, with his most current address being a location off Country Club Rd.
While Suckow has a strong connection to the location, the circumstances for him being at the residence at the time of the incident, like the victims, are still unknown. A search of CAD records shows that there had been no calls for service from any agency to the residence from Jan 1st, 2020 until this incident.
Criminal History
Suckow’s criminal history shows arrests and charges out of both Carroll and Coweta Counties.
Carroll County
Superior Court records show that Suckow was charged in 3 separate cases in 2014. All three cases would be combined for sentencing.
Two of the cases, both stemming from an incident on October 6th, 2014, saw him charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Firearm/Knife Possession During Crime/Att Crime, Theft by Taking, and GA Street Gang Prevention Act.
In the third case which apparently stemmed from a November 5th, 2014 incident with a co-defendant, he was charged with 3 counts of Burglary – 1st Degree ( Felony ) as well as Theft by Taking.
He was found guilty of the charges in March of 2014 and sentenced to 20 years each for the 3 Burglary charges, 15 years for the Gang charge, 3 years for the firearm charge, and 5 years on the Theft by Taking charge. The time to serve / concurrency information is unavailable.
GA Dept of Corrections information shows that he was in state prison from April 30th, 2015 to December 18th, 2019.
Coweta County
According to CCSO booking records, Suckow was arrested in May 2021 by the Georgia State Patrol for DUI Alcohol – Less Safe and Failure to maintain lane.
Records Show that over a year later, in August of 2022, Suckow was arrested for Failure to Appear on the May 2021 DUI Charges.
State Court records show that he pleaded guilty and received 9 days in jail, 12 months of Probation, and a series of fines.
Probation Issues
Carroll County Superior Court records show that his August 2022 arrest in Coweta County for failure to appear for the DUI charges spawned a request to revoke his probation that he was on after his release from prison.
While the records show the request, as well as a bench warrant being issued after he missed his court date for a hearing, it also shows that by February of 2023, prosecutors had “dead docketed” the VOP case, effectively ending the effort to revoke his probation and send him back to prison on his 2014 charges.
