Home NewsLocalCrime Women Arrested for July 4th Gunfire at Creekside by White Oak Apartments

Units with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Creekside by White Oak ( Formerly Lakeside Apartments ) just after 7:30 PM on July 4th, 2024 after E911 received multiple calls of a resident firing multiple rounds from a shotgun and rifle while on the back patio of their apartment.

Shortly after arriving officers responded to the apartment reported by witnesses and attempted to make contact with the occupant who had gone inside the apartment and refused to come out. The suspect, apparently inebriated, would eventually be detained, and after an investigation into the incident would be placed into custody.

This marks a rare arrest in an ongoing issue of reported firearm discharges not only at Creekside at  White Oak but also at Foxworth Forest, Shenandoah Forest, and Woodland Commons Apartments that ring Forrest Circle just across Shenandoah Blvd.

Of over 300 reports of discharging firearms across the county, this is just the 5th arrest resulting from reports.
