NCST Editor NPD Responds to Unknown Problem, Person Down Call
Just after 9 PM this evening, E911 received a call for an unknown problem, person down inside of OZ Tactical located at 1 East Court Sq in Downtown Newnan.
Dispatch quickly notified units with the Newnan Police Department who were responding that they had received multiple calls at this point regarding the discharging of a firearm.
Units arrived within minutes and located the body of a young female who had suffered a gunshot wound to the head. They attempted to render aid but reported that the victim was deceased. It’s unknown at this time if the gsw was self-inflicted or the result of a suspect, however, no mention of a suspect, outstanding or in custody, has been transmitted over the radio. Units have created a crime scene around the location.
