Four Arrested after Search Warrant Finds Drugs at Lakeside Residence
A mother, father and son were included in those arrested

Search Warrant Executed

Just before 5:30 PM on Thursday, April 17th, members of the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit executed a search warrant at a residence within Creekside at White Oak, formally Lakeside. Details of the search warrant are sealed however booking records indicate four suspects, at least three of whom are related, were arrested and charged with multiple drug related charges.

Suspects Arrested

Booking records indicate the following individuals were arrested and booked stemming from the search warrant execution.

Bruce Verlin Garrett Jr, 62

Bruce Verlin Garrett Jr, 62, of Newnan was arrested by deputies with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Coweta County Jail for the following charge(s).

  • Purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale of controlled substances or marijuana (F)
  • Purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale of controlled substances or marijuana (F)
  • Purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale of controlled substances or marijuana (F)

Booking records show that Garrett Jr was released from custody on the morning of April 19th.

Wanda Lee Garrett, 61

Wanda Lee Garrett, 61, of Newnan was arrested by deputies with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Coweta County Jail for the following charge(s).

Joshua Allen Bone, 39

Joshua Allen Bone, 39, of Newnan was arrested by deputies with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Coweta County Jail for the following charge(s).

Charges from Seperate Incident

According to booking records Bruce Verline Garrett Jr also received a 4th charge in his April 18th booking stemming from what seems to have been an April 10th traffic stop on 46 I85 South that resulted in the arrest of another individual, Daniel Eugene Iverson.
