Call for Subject Armed 

On November 10th, 2024, Coweta County EMA/911 received a call from an employee at Fazoli’s off Bullsboro Dr stating there was a dispute in their parking lot and that a male suspect had pulled a gun out.

Units from the Newnan Police Department and Coweta County Sheriff’s Office immediately headed to the scene. The caller described the suspect with the firearm as a black male with a ski mask, grey sweatshirt and sweat pants, “kinda skinny”.

Units arrived on the scene within minutes of the call being dispatched, quickly locating and detaining the multiple suspects.

During their investigation, NPD units located a firearm on one suspect as well as narcotics. That suspect and a female were arrested at the scene and transported to the Coweta County Jail while units continued their investigation into the incident.

Initial Arrests

Cedarious Truitt Greenway, 22, of Fairburn

Greenway was arrested at the scene and booked into the Coweta County Jail on the following charges.

  • VGCSA SCH 1/2 Narcotic Possession (F)
  • Disorderly Conduct (M)
  • Possession of Firearm or Knife during the commission of or attempt (F)

Aarien Jermani Jones, 19, of Atlanta

Jones was arrested at the scene and booked into the Coweta County Jail on the following charges.

  • Disorderly Conduct (M)

While Greenway was able to bond out on the 11th, Jones wasn’t able to bond out until the 13th.

Third Suspect Surrenders 

During the investigation, officers were able to identify a third suspect involved in the incident, who had left the scene before law enforcement arrived. and was the suspect who had pointed the gun during the dispute. Roughly an hour after the initial call, investigators were able to get in contact with the suspect who decided to meet with officers at a nearby location and turn himself in.

Avery Ahmad Anderson, 18, of Newnan

Anderson was arrested and booked into the Coweta County Jail on the following charges.

  • Pointing or Aiming Gun or Pistol at Another (M)
  • Disorderly Conduct (M)

Anderson was able to bond out on November 11th, 2024.
