This article updates a post made to the NCST Facebook Page at the time of the incident. Click here to view the details of that post.

Just after Midnight on April 7th, 2024, E911 received multiple calls from bystanders at RPM Full Service located at 15 Jackson St in downtown Newnan, some reporting a possible subject armed, while others reported a male was punching out a window and a female punching a male.

Within 3 minutes of the initial dispatch, multiple NPD officers arrived on the scene and began taking control of the scene and investigating the incident. Due to the number of officers on the scene and NPD also dealing with another situation at the same time, radio traffic on the situation was light, confirming only that there were no arrests and that a few people had been criminally trespassed from the establishment before officers cleared the scene.

We’ve since been able to obtain the NPD incident report with narratives from a number of the officers who responded to the scene. Below is a summary of the nights activities.

Oh dear…

According to the report, the situation centered around 3 people who were at the establishment that night including a married couple in their late 40’s and a male assumed to be in mid 30’s. The husband’s daughter was also with them that night.

When officers arrived on scene, they came into contact with the couple and husband’s daughter, the other male had already left the scene… without a car window. As part of their investigation, each of the 3 individuals was interviewed separately by NPD officers. What follows are the statements made to the officers by each individual.

As no criminal charges were filed and no one was arrested, we will be redacting the names of all individuals involved in the incident. In the narratives below we will replace each person’s name with their role, [Husband], [Daughter], [Other Male], [Wife], etc.

The Daughter

The first narrative provided in the incident report is between Ofc  J. Worth, the primary officer, and the daughter who was there with the couple.

Upon my arrival, I met with a [Daughter] who stated that her father a [Husband] got into a dispute with another male named [Other Male]. [Daughter] stated that [Husband] overheard his wife [Wife] and [Other Male] in the bathroom having sexual intercourse. [Daugther] stated [Other Male] went to his vehicle and she went to confront him about the situation, while she was speaking with him [Husband] also came to confront [Other Male]. [Daugther] stated once [Husband] approached [Other Male], he pulled out a pistol from his center console and chambered a round. [Daughter] states that [Other Male] pointed the firearm at her and [Husband] and attempted to get out of his vehicle. [Daughter] stated she then closed the door on [Other Male] and told him to “get the fuck out of here” [Other Male] then drove off. [Daugther] stated that [Other Male] is a friend of [Couple].

The Wife

This narrative is the statement made by the wife to Ofc. K. Dockery during the investigation. This is a supplement to Ofc. J. Worth’s incident report.

On arrival, I met with the wife of [Husband] named [Wife]. She stated to me that she caused her husband to get angry because she kissed another man. [Wife] advised that she did not remember how the situation took place, but stated that her husband caught her kissing the other male and began to yell at her. [Wife] advised that she did not recall the words that were exchanged. She stated that after they exchanged words her husband went outside where the male she kissed was located. She stated that she did not know what happened from there. [Wife] stated multiple times that the situation was her fault for kissing the other male with a possible name of [Other Male].

I briefly spoke with [Husband] and he stated that he “Caught his wife fucking another dude in the bathroom”. [Husband] stated that he knew what the guy drove, so he went out into the parking lot and busted out a window on his car by punching it with a closed fist. [Husband] advised that after he busted the window the same guy pulled out a handgun and chambered a round into the chamber. He stated that after he saw the gun he backed away from the dispute.

The Husband

This narrative is the statement made by the husband to Ofc. D. Beaner during the investigation. This is a supplement to Ofc. J. Worth’s incident report.

Upon arrival, I was met by the husband, [Husband] who stated he was walking to the bathroom area of the restaurant when he heard his wife, [Wife] having sex with a subject by the name of [Other Male] in the womans bathroom. [Husband] then said he started walking back to the bar area to go check on his daughter, [Daughter] when [Wife] came out of the bathroom, and got his attention. [Husband] then said when she got his attention, he saw [Other Male] outside getting into his [Other Males’ Vehicle], where [Husband] then runs to [Other Male]`s vehicle ([Other Male] is already inside of the [Other Males’ Vehicle] when [Husband] arrives) and begins banging on the driver side front window in an attempt to get [Other Male]`s attention but [Other Male] ignores him. [Husband] then said he hit the front window with such force, he broke [Other Male]`s window with his bare fist. [Husband] then stated he saw [Other Male] grab a pistol and chamber a bullet, and that`s when [Husband] gives up and walks away from the scene.

The End Result

Below is the last part Ofc. J. Worth’s incident report, summarizing the investigation and resulting actions taken.

Ofc. Beaner spoke with [Husband] and Ofc. Dockery spoke with [Wife], after speaking with Ofc. Beaner it was determined that [Husband] was the primary aggressor in this situation. We also believe the firearm was pulled out of self-defense when [Husband] smashed the car window of [Other Male]’s vehicle. Please see Ofc. Beaner’s and Ofc. Dockery’s supplementals to this case number. At the time of this report [Other Male] has not contacted the Newnan Police Department or 911 about this incident or his window. I was not able to gather [Other Male]’s full information and was only given his first and last name. It was mentioned that [Other Male] has been arrested in the past and I was able to find a [Other Male] ( in the system ). I am not able to confirm if this is the same subject.

After speaking with the RPM manager [RPM MANAGER] they wished to have [Daughter], [Husband] and [Wife] criminally trespassed from this business.

The incident report shows a closure status of ” No Further Action Required “.
