The Full Florida Man Story
We’ve been able to get ahold of the Incident report and officer narrative from the incident… and it’s a doozy. Running the gambit from being a US Marshall to having an affair with Vice President, Kamala Harris.
The following narrative was prepared by Deputy V. Luong who reached the scene shortly after Deputy W. Thompson approached the subject and began holding him at gunpoint.
Deputy W. Thompson advised when 911 dispatched the description he observed a white male matching that description walking toward the entrance of the hospital. Deputy Thompson stated he had the male at gunpoint while giving loud verbal commands to which the male stated he was a US Marshal. The male dropped the gun and went to the ground where he was handcuffed without further incident. Jason abruptly stated that he left his vehicle at the 42-mile marker and walked.
The male was identified as Jason Leverette wearing what I observed as a white male wearing a peach-colored button-up with blue jeans. Jason was searched and was re-secured with my handcuffs which were double locked and checked for proper fit. Jason was placed in the back seat of my patrol car. Jason was read his Miranda rights, which he stated he understood. When I asked Jason where he was going or coming from a lot of what he was saying did not make any sense. Jason stated he was going to Washington D.C to have an affair with the Vice President. Jason also stated he was the commander of Delta force and was an Officer in the military. Based on m knowledge, training, and experience, being an officer in the military requires a college degree and commission. Jason advised he only had a high school diploma. I continued to ask [why] Jason was at the hospital, which he stated he was following a bad guy and among other things […] he mumbled which I did not understand.
A Smith & Wesson .38 Special Revolver bearing serial [REDACTED] with two rounds. 911 ran the serial number through GCIC with no returns. I asked Jason what car he was driving and where the keys were located. Jason stated the vehicle being an Audi and the keys were being the guardrail next to the vehicle. Deputy S. Searels located the vehicle being a white Audi bearing New York tag #LDN6596. I was advised during the inventory of the vehicle a shirt similar to what Jason was located. Nothing of value or illegal contraband was found.
An NCST community member just happened to catch the suspect’s abandoned vehicle on the side of I 85 North on their dashcam just before the incident. According to the incident report, the vehicle, a 2023 Audi Q3, was tagged out of NY and belonged to an undisclosed rental company. There were no drugs or items of value located in the vehicle. It’s unknown if the vehicle had suffered some type of issue causing the suspect to pull over.
